Bullet hell in PSVR shooter Blasters of the Universe

With "Blasters of the Universe", the developer Secret Location has developed a Bullet Hell Shooter called "Blasters of the Universe", which will be released for PlayStation VR on 27 February 2018.

And this is what the game is about: "Grand Master Alwyn (formerly Allen Fitzpatrick) is an insecure boy who was once the undisputed king of the arcades. In the 90s, he anchored his consciousness in virtual reality and created an extensive virtual universe entirely to his liking. For decades he ruled VR with a pixelated fist, backed by an army of uncouth minions he created, waiting for someone brave enough to challenge him."

As a player, you have to take back the VR. To do this, you use the weapon forge to create your own weapon. Depending on whether you play offensively or defensively, you have to create exactly the weapon that suits your play style. The game is played with two PlayStation Move controllers to use the classic shield-weapon configuration. In this context, over 130,000 different variations are promised, all of which have their advantages and disadvantages.

"A thousand tricky shooting patterns and enemy behaviours will push you to your limits and force you to use every available inch. Particular emphasis has been placed on developing complex 3D shooting patterns. Time your shots to avoid getting hit and take out the deadliest enemies before they can fire their volleys," said Associate Technical Director Josh Manricks.

So "Blasters of the Universe" is quite challenging, but there is also a casual mode in which the difficulty of the enemies and their attacks is reduced. The game modes "Campaign", "Endless" and "Challenge" also provide variety. Gameplay can be seen in the trailer.
