At CES 2018 in Las Vegas, HTC Creative Labs confirmed an extensive update for the VR video player "Vive Video", which is now available.
It is said that "Vive Video" solves the recognition and purchasing problem of VR video content by providing an extensive catalogue of high-quality video streaming content directly on the VR headset. In addition to the new features and UI upgrades, "Vive Video" also has content from Vimeo integrated. According to HTC, a curated selection of Vimeo content is made available in the new "Vive Video". "Vive Video" plays 180° and 360° video content.
"Whether we develop our own tools in-house or partner with other innovative platforms, Vimeo represents the future of storytelling and new ways to support our producers," says Christophe Gillet, GM of the Vimeo Creator platform. "The integration with Vive Video not only showcases the highest quality, human-curated video content within the VR experience, but also new ways for producers to showcase their work and interact with audiences."
We have already talked about the new HTC Vive Pro and the update of Viveport VR reports.
