This year, the "Black Eyed Peas" a comic book called "Masters of the Sun: The Zombie Chronicles" (via Marvel). This was subsequently equipped with an AR component, but is now moving in the direction of virtual reality.
The comic is about a Californian hip-hop crew that fights against an alien god. He curses drug dealers and gangsters, turning them into zombies. The story is the brainchild of frontman Will.i.am, while the drawings are by comic and graffiti artist Damion Scott.
Masters of the Sun: The Zombie Chronicles" was even expanded to include an AR component with an app that brings the images to life on the smartphone display. The Black Eyed Peas have now confirmed that they are working with Oculus VR to bring the whole thing to virtual reality, although there is not yet too much information to report.
Jamie Foxx, Rosario Dawson, Rakim, Queen Latifah and more will lend their voices to the protagonists and other characters. The VR version of "Masters of the Sun: The Zombie Chronicles" will be released in January 2018. There will also be a link between the AR features and the VR realisation to unlock items and weapons.
