Google and the Discovery Channel have teamed up to publish an interesting 360-degree series travelling around the world. In a total of 38 episodes, you can take a look at many locations.
Die ersten sechs Folgen von „Discovery TRVLR“ werden ab dem 3. November 2017 über YouTube und bei Discovery VR are available. In principle, the series is compatible with all common VR headsets, but only PlayStation VR and Daydream offer native support with the YouTube app. Owners of HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Gear VR etc. rely on the Discovery VR app, special video apps or web VR in the internet browser. „Discovery TRVLR“ bietet jeweils sechs Episoden zu Nordamerika, Südamerika, Asien, Afrika, Europa und Australien. Für die Antarktis blieben zwei Folgen übrig. Der deutsche Produzent Saschka Unseld hat die kreative Verantwortung bei „Discovery TRVLR“ übernommen. Er hat schon bei den geschlossenen Oculus Story Studios gearbeitet, wo er für den VR-Kurzfilm „Dear Angelica“ mitverantwortlich war.
