Google and the Discovery Channel have teamed up to publish an interesting 360-degree series travelling around the world. In a total of 38 episodes, you can take a look at many locations.
The first six episodes of "Discovery TRVLR" will be available from 3 November 2017 on YouTube and at Discovery VR are available. In principle, the series is compatible with all common VR headsets, but only PlayStation VR and Daydream offer native support with the YouTube app. Owners of HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Gear VR etc. rely on the Discovery VR app, special video apps or web VR in the internet browser. "Discovery TRVLR" offers six episodes each on North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Europe and Australia. Two episodes remain for Antarctica. German producer Saschka Unseld has taken on the creative responsibility for "Discovery TRVLR". He previously worked at the closed Oculus Story Studios, where he was jointly responsible for the VR short film "Dear Angelica".
