Palmer Luckeywho is considered the creator of the VR headset Oculus Rift, left Oculus VR in March 2017. However, he will remain in the VR industry. At the Tokyo Game Show 2017 and on the HTC Vive stage, he confirmed just that.
At the Japanese games fair, Palmer Luckey even made an almost surprising Announcement made: "I have a new company. I can't say much about my projects yet, but I'm still working in the virtual reality industry on some exciting things."
He also made it clear that he does not want to focus only on Oculus Rift. He feels committed to the entire VR industry: "Don't think of me as an Oculus person. Just think of me as a VR person. It's about everybody, Sony, HTC, other companies, just everything."
