Titanic VR - New video shows dive to the wreck

The exciting Titanic VR project is being realised and will show how history can be experienced interactively.

The start-up Immersive VR Education we have already in spring presented. The team behind the VR project Apollo 11 announced another virtual reality game called Titanic VR a year ago. The Kickstarter campaign mentioned at the time, which was intended to fund the Titanic VR project, has now been completed. The developers have now released a new video about the educational virtual reality experience, demonstrating that VR can be extremely useful in education.

Experience history interactively

Among other things, the project will allow users to take a dive to the wreck of the famous ship. Titanic VR is made up of two parts. On the one hand, users are offered an interactive section in which they can explore the shipwreck. On the other hand, the finished version of Titanic VR features a fully animated historical retelling of the events of 14 and 15 April 1912.

The first part, the exploration of the wreck, takes centre stage in a video released today, which is intended to provide a foretaste. It shows a dive to the wreck of the Titanic with very meditative music.

It is currently unclear when "Titanic VR" will be released. However, the developers are aiming for a release before the end of the year. It is already certain that there will be suitable versions for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, but also for PlayStation VR.

If you are interested in such experiences, you are at Google Earth just right. There are already over 200 expeditions to choose from.

The new experience for PlayStation VR called Chernobyl VR Project, about which we reportedsounds exciting. It takes the player on an interactive journey to the abandoned city of Pripyat and the nuclear power plant.
