Virtual reality conquers architectural offices

In addition to the gaming industry, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the architecture sector in particular can no longer do without VR. More and more projects are being realised in VR. Most architects commission agencies that specialise in VR.

The BIM-The virtual reality hype has not yet reached its peak, but the next megatrend is catching up with the world of architecture: Virtual Reality. Architects are probably one of the professions for which VR will soon become an indispensable standard tool.

Thanks to urbanisation and industrial growth, Switzerland has long been fertile ground for architects. Since the development of VR applications is currently still mostly done by agencies specialising in VR, it is not surprising that they are also pushing strongly with this topic on the market at the moment. We have already heard about several projects (VRQ) or (Dome Visual) reports. How quickly a simple application can be implemented is also shown by the beautiful story of the young entrepreneur Cécile Amstad with her company Amstad Digital.

And also the Bernese Gauer Itten Messerli Architekten and the Zühlke Agency have come together and jointly developed an application for virtual tours of rooms. It gives a spatial impression of the planned building, which enables prospective buyers and also the architects themselves to experience the rooms realistically.

Especially exciting is their short video contribution, in which one learns something about the cooperation of the two partners and gets a brief insight into the VR project:
