Mozilla has released version 55 of the Firefox browser, which includes a WebVR support but only under Windows. This allows users to view VR content directly in the browser. Oculus Rift and HTC Vive are supported.
If you come across a web app that is compatible with VR, all you have to do is click on a small glasses icon and put on the VR headset. The VR experiences can be operated both with the controller and with physical movements. "Firefox for Windows is the first desktop browser to support WebVR for all users, giving them the opportunity to experience a new level of entertainment in virtual reality," reads the Press release.
If you want to try out virtual reality with Firefox, you can already discover various content that has been developed in the growing WebVR community. At vr.mozilla.org you can find some recommendations from Mozilla. Among other things, you can experience the VR painting experience "A-Painter" and the shooter "A-Blast".
