Star Wars VR Center comes to Disney Land

Anyone who lives by the Obi-Wan Kenobi principle: "Your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them!" could be right once again. Announced yesterday, the multi-sensory VR experience called Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire lets users interact with friends and Star Wars characters in a deceptively realistic way.

Just recently we were talking about reportswhat Disney presented at its own d23 Expo. The Star Wars theme park and AR Jedi training were the centre of attention. Now another announcement in the VR area is causing a stir in the large Star Wars community.

Lucasfilm, ILMxLAB and The VOID will open a hyper-reality experience centre that will transport users into the Star Wars Galaxy. Just in time for the start of the holidays in the USA, one is to be opened in each of the Downtown Disney (Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California) and in the Disney Springs (Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida).

The VOID is already known for its sensational VR experience centres. The experts know how to merge the magic of illusion with sensory feedback to create an ingenious VR experience that immerses you in a completely new world. The VOID uses interactive real-time effects that involve all the senses and links several players together to create a unique story for each game.

It is therefore to be expected that you will also be able to interactively touch virtual objects in the Star Wars application and wander around the galaxy with your real friends to hopefully show the Stormtroopers where the Bartli de Moscht is. Or as The VOID Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Curtis Hickmann said: "With the power of The VOID, guests who immerse themselves in the Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire game won't just see the world. They will know that they are a part of this powerful story."
