VRrotica - VR glasses for porn only

The English company Hologram has presented the VRotica, a headset that works as a standalone device without a smartphone and is only designed for consuming porn.

The name says it all: with the VR glasses called VRotica you should only be able to consume porn. The English start-up company called Hologram has recently started offering the standalone solution for a relatively inexpensive $220. The content comes from the studio BaDoinkVRwhich already produces over 300 videos and has a network of porn sites.

Wide selection possibly with live streaming

The headset comes with six videos. After that, of course, you have the option of buying more video material. On the one hand, Hologram wants to provide content from studios, but also user-generated uploads. The concrete goal is to have 1000 videos in the programme by the end of the year. Perhaps even live streaming and more adult games will be added.

VR and porn is nothing new. Early on there was the first boom and many claimed that VR would only gain a foothold in the porn industry. Most headset manufacturers tolerated the content in principle, but never worked directly with the studios. As a result, hardly any content could be found in the App Store. Consumers were forced to find other ways: Most simply downloaded the content onto their computers or mobiles and then used some way to transfer the data.

Slip into the role of the actor with VR

Variety tested the wireless device. Since VRotica focuses on videos, there is no positional tracking. There would also be no controller, but a few simple buttons on both sides of the glasses.

The ingredients for VR porn content are simple: one performer - usually a man - is filmed sitting or lying down from the chest down. After the second performer, who undresses, appears, it starts. This is what the porn industry calls point-of-view (POV). The video is supposed to give the viewer the opportunity to put himself in the role or the action of the performer. One question on BaDoinkVR is: Always wanted to fuck a pornstar? With VR, you don't have to dream.

Most things happen in such a way that you don't have to move your head. In other words, there is no need to look over your shoulder or watch the whole scene. This explains why most content is produced in a 180-degree video. Ironically, YouTube has also just recently discovered that this is better for most videos and has therefore launched 180VR in 180-degree format.
