A group of archaeologists recently proved that the Vikings had a major influence on England. The effects can now be marvelled at in a museum in Yorkshire using a VR application, among other things.
55 hectares of land in Torksey were inhabited by thousands of Vikings in the late 9th century. So it was more than just a camp for a few fierce warriors. Thanks to a new VR exhibition, visitors to the museum can explore the rich history up close.
A real treat for all fans of the Vikings series.
It is literally obvious that VR has enormous potential, especially for museums. Such applications will certainly become more and more widespread in the future. Dusty exhibitions will be made interactive and the past will be brought to life.
