PlayPad as a compact controller for Gear VR

Nyko has a very interesting and compact controller for Samsung Gear VR announced. After all, numerous games still rely on normal button inputs, even though a motion controller is already available for the VR headset from Samsung. Like other commercially available controllers, the PlayPad VR connects to Gear VR or the smartphone via Bluetooth. The PlayPad VR should be compatible with all Samsung smartphones that support Gear VR. It is charged via the USB Type C port.

But why is Nyko launching another Bluetooth controller on the market? One advantage is that it can be used as a cover for the Samsung Gear VR. This makes it less likely that you will forget to take the controller with you. And the solution also saves space. Otherwise, two analogue sticks, a digital directional pad and eight buttons (including four shoulder buttons) are provided. The PlayPad VR will be launched on the market later this year at a price of 49.99 US dollars.
