With Migros to the biggest VR promotion in Switzerland

The extension of the "MigrosMania" collection campaign into the virtual world results in the largest VR promotion in Switzerland. The agency Wirz has developed 3-D worlds for an app and implemented them with specialists.

The six-week campaign "MigrosMania" is back and is sending Switzerland into collecting fever: for a purchase of 20 francs or more, customers will receive small building elements and iconic Migros products in miniature as a gift, which they can use to build their own colourful Migros branch to their liking. MigrosMania" is one of the educational Manias that will offer numerous exciting insights into the world of Migros and its shops using virtual reality. The Migros VR glasses required for this are only available on Saturday 3.6.2017 - i.e. tomorrow - per purchase from CHF 60 (max. 3 glasses per purchase). A total of one million pairs of glasses are available throughout Switzerland.

Migros is the first Swiss retailer to consistently focus on intensive, self-designed brand experiences in 3-D and is launching the largest VR promotion in Switzerland. The new free app for all Android and iOS smartphones is the gateway to a multi-layered, constantly expandable virtual reality experience for children and the young at heart.

At the centre of the game is a VR game in which you whiz through various floors of a Migros shop and try to collect as many products as possible. The longer the shopping trip, the faster the pace: in the fourth level, you even shoot through the shop with rocket propulsion.

In another section of the app, you can experience animated product worlds in 360 degrees as you walk through the virtual branch and learn more about the story behind the "Von uns. From here." articles, such as the Ice Tea, the Generoso Cake or the Blévita Crackers. A total of 21 animated product stories can be gradually unlocked using the trading cards available in the branches.

Behind the cream ice cream, the dishwashing liquid mobile phone and the Sun-Look sun cream, entire game worlds await: Suddenly you find yourself in a world of soap bubbles, floating through space next to spaceships or competing in a head-to-head match with the famous ice cream seal in the Arctic.
