Finally, the secret behind Appenzeller cheese has been revealed: VR is responsible!
Who doesn't know the commercial in which a German wants to elicit the secret of their cheese from three Appenzellers sitting on a bench? The rustic guys have managed to keep their secret to this day.
However, Appenzeller Käse GmbH published a new video on its YouTube channel on Tuesday, in which we now learn more:
To survive the harsh winter, the cattle simply dive into VR. The funny spot also shows what the cows get to see in VR. A cow's dream: chasing the farmer across the field or being pampered in the Hindu temple.
The video was specially designed for YouTube and Facebook and was not planned for TV advertising. The idea came to him from an employee of the advertising agency Contexta which is also responsible for advertising Appenzeller cheese.
For all animal rights activists: During the filming, the cows only had three white dots on their foreheads. The virtual reality glasses were animated afterwards based on these dots.
For all Germans: In all likelihood, the secret is not quite out after all.
