Swiss Game Awards nominates VR Game

On Friday, 27 January 2017, the Swiss Industry Award Swiss Game Awards as part of the festival "Ludicious" at the "Ludicious & SGDA Swiss Game Awards Night" in the old barracks in Zurich for the fourth time. The five finalists in the running once again showcase the diversity of Swiss creativity this year. They encourage players to think about their own actions, present immersive VR experiences, keep the brain cells on their toes with puzzles and invite you to enjoy entertaining single-player or multiplayer games.

The game about family & survival

Game Watcher, which comes from the Zurich-based developers Kinwatcher, is also a virtual reality game. Filipe Simonette is responsible for programming and game design and Julie Baechtold is responsible for art and game design. In Watchers, the player takes on the role of a parent animal that must try to protect and feed its young in the jungle. As the parent animal, you have to decide whether the food for your offspring is healthy or not. You have to convince the little ones by nodding or shaking your head. In the game, which runs with the Oculus Rift, you literally need brains to communicate. The game principle is therefore very simple and the "yay" effect is guaranteed.
