Winners of the VR Jam Awards announced

MSI has now announced the winners of the so-called VR Jam Awards announced today. The MSI VR Jam Awards is an international competition for VR gaming developers. MSI sponsors the event together with Intel, Unity, UploadVR, WEARVR and the Institute for Information Industry . From 16 to 23 December 2016, applicants had time to compete for the total prize pool of 80,000 US dollars. Over 600 VR projects from a total of 72 countries were submitted and evaluated. The winners have now been announced, although the official award ceremony will not take place until 24 January 2017 in Taipei.

First place, endowed with 30,000 US dollars, went to the interactive rhythm game "Block Rocking Beats" by Dutch developer Sander Sneek. Second place went to the VR adventure game "Mass Exodus"a project by Dan Knight and Ben Barton from England. The runners-up will receive 25,000 US dollars. Third place went to the VR project for railway enthusiasts "Derail Valley" by the two Serbs Slobodan Stevic and Nenad Ognjanovic, who can look forward to 15,000 US dollars. In contrast, the interactive laser sword fighting game "Project Ghost" the best. In addition to the money, the developers also receive all kinds of great hardware and in some cases an annual licence for the developer platform "Unity Plus".
