The virtual reality advertising platform Vertebrae has raised USD 10 million in its first round of financing. The advertising provider, which claims to specialise in "native virtual reality advertising", is currently still operating its platform in private beta.
Native advertising for virtual reality refers to the embedding of advertising in the content. It is therefore comparable to paid advertising boards in football or racing games or the product placement-like use of a certain type of car in an action game.
