With the viewing robot, the journey to view a flat may soon be a thing of the past. Now, a second and further developed digital colleague is already being launched in the estate agent team at KAMPMEYER. This is equipped with mixed and augmented reality functions.

So it's no coincidence that KAMPMEYER won the Real Estate Marketing Award 2020 with the robot called SAM and proved the innovative power of cobot-supported industry solutions.

Robotics combined with mixed and augmented reality

The brokerage house is now using a new model with significantly improved hardware for the first time. With the presence in a model flat in the Bonn's new building quarter west.side one receives the new generation of robots, the Double 3 from Double RoboticsThe new project will make its first appearance in Germany at the end of March. Robin, as the new model is called by the team, has a range of 3D sensors to safely drive through the property with even inexperienced drivers on screen. Two high-resolution 13 megapixel cameras with pan-tilt-10x focus, 6 microphones and an unbeatable height-adjustable perspective between 1.20 and 1.50 metres ensure a live inspection of a special kind.

Another highlight is the integrated click-to-drive function. Points can be seen on the floor to which the cobot can drive safely with automatic obstacle detection. Mixed reality is like augmented reality. Virtual 3D objects are added to the live stream and appear as if they were placed in the real world. They help to understand what the tour robot can see and mark the most important waypoints during a flat tour.

There is still room for improvement in the area of artificial intelligence. SAM and Robin will not replace the estate agent, but the cobot can assist him much more effectively. The virtual tour via cobot is a preliminary stage of the personal tour, in which the qualified interested parties can deepen their impressions of the housing offer and express their ideas regarding the conclusion of a purchase or rental contract.
