After several years of development work, the interactive advisory platform Lusee has been given its own company. The start-up will develop and market the technology for innovative user experiences for advisory services in the financial sector and other industries.
Over the past five years, experts from the University of Zurich, the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland and Hypothekarbank Lenzburg have developed a new type of interaction platform for counselling situations under the name "Livepaper". Following an initial successful application in the banking sector, Hypothekarbank Lenzburg, via its subsidiary HBL Finanz AG, has now launched the Lusee AG founded.
"With a unique mixed reality solution that merges various technologies into a new customer experience, Lusee creates added value for advisory situations in various areas. The customer experience is intensified and advice is digitalised throughout," says Andreas Kunzmann, CEO of Lusee AG and member of the Board of Directors of Hypothekarbank Lenzburg.
Vorts of the real and digital world
Lusee's technology consists of various hardware components such as a personal computer, a high-resolution projector and various sensors for motion tracking, including handwriting recognition. Using various interaction elements (tokens), the consultant can interact with the system and have customised content projected onto various media such as a tabletop or a sheet of paper via the projector.
Various end-user applications are conceivable. Lusee provides the software framework for this. In the case of Hypothekarbank Lenzburg, an app for mortgage advice is in use. Other apps from third-party developers for very different services can also be integrated into the Lusee framework.
Wow effect at the right moment
"By using different media, customers can understand complex topics faster and better and remember the results for longer," says Mehmet Kilic, a UX expert at Hypothekarbank Lenzburg who is supporting the Lusee project. The advisor can retain his personal advisory style and adapt it to individual customer needs.
"Lusee can be used in a wide variety of sectors in many advisory situations," says Ulrike Schock, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Lusee AG. Both collaborative consulting situations and self-service applications are conceivable. A longer-term goal is for Lusee to be used not only by banks but also by other service providers that deal with processes for entering customer information and where interpersonal interaction is essential.
"At Lusee, people always take centre stage. Technology takes a back seat, it is an invisible helper and provides the decisive wow effect at the right moment," says Schock. Customers today expect personalised advice and a dedicated, personal experience. "Lusee brings together the advantages of digital technology and human interaction to create a new world of experience," says Schock.
