The developer InXile Entertainment, which belongs to Microsoft and will soon also be publishing the end-time role-playing game "Wasteland 3", is working together with the publisher Thirdverse on "Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds".
Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds" is a team-based AAA multiplayer shooter that focuses on PvP gameplay in which 10 against 10 players compete against each other. However, there are also PvE elements, which is why players also fight against the environment and AI enemies. A first trailer provides some impressions.
It says: "Players are split into 10v10 teams and coordinate their tactics via approach, strategy and equipment to dominate the opposing team on beautiful maps and in addictive game modes such as Capture and Control."
About the sci-fi setting, it adds: "Teams will battle for control of a forgotten military base in Antarctica, where other players are not the only enemy. Get ready and charge forward to deal with the opposing team and protect yourself from the constant alien biomechanical threat."
In the multiplayer matches, weapons with different firing modes and features are used, while the equipment also includes grenades, health kits, armour upgrades, turrets and more. "Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds" will be released "soon" for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Valve Index.
