Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Free Lives have announced that the bloody over-the-top gladiator sim "Gorn", which is already available for PC VR platforms, will also be released for PlayStation VR on 19 May 2020.
"Gorn" attaches great importance to extensive physics effects in its gladiator battles, which can be seen quite clearly in the latest launch trailer. Producer Adone Kitching is in the official PlayStation Blog about the game: "For those who don't know: Gorn is an over-the-top gladiator game with a unique physics-based combat engine. With Gorn, we tried to create something that only works in VR. And that took a lot of effort. We wanted to embrace the simulated chaos of a game and reward the player for testing the limits of the system."
"We are still amazed by all the creative fighting styles our players come up with. We love it! It gives players the freedom to fight their enemies in weird and wonderful ways. And that's the best way to play Gorn. As a gladiator you don't just want to survive, you want and should entertain!
