Trailer & Info for Half-Life: Alyx

Valve has now extensively unveiled "Half-Life: Alyx", which will be released in March 2020 for Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality. The first gameplay trailer gives you a real "Half-Life" feeling.

As the name suggests, you take on the role of Alyx Vance, while the story is set between "Half-Life" and "Half-Life 2". Since the Black Mesa incident, the Combine has extended its dominance over the planet even further, cramming the remaining population into cities. As founders of the burgeoning resistance, Alyx and her father Dr Eli Vance have had to conduct vital research and create valuable tools for the few humans who dare to oppose the Combine. Valve promises that "Half-Life: Alyx" will be developed from the ground up for virtual reality.

Regarding VR gameplay, it says: "It started with Half-Life. Now Valve is returning to the Half-Life universe with a game built from the ground up for VR. VR is made for the heart of Half-Life gameplay. Experience total immersion as you interact with the environment, solve puzzles, explore the world and engage in realistic combat. Peek behind a crumbling wall or under a burdock to land a (seemingly) impossible hit. Rummage through shelves for syringes of healing serum and ammunition. Work on tools that hack all alien devices. Throw a bottle through a window to distract the enemy. Tear head crabs off your face and throw them at a Combine soldier." Further information can be found at Steam and on the official side.
