VR documentary on the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall

To mark the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, YouTube Originals has released a new series entitled "Virtually History". The 30-minute special allows viewers to relive this unprecedented moment in German history.

Using modern VR technology, social historian Emma Dabiri accompanies three people to an emotional moment when their family members were photographed during their escape, the construction of the tunnel and the fall of the Berlin Wall. At the same time, the viewer experiences the past virtually through the eyes of three YouTubers, including Riyadh K from Ireland, Hannah Witton from Great Britain and Rezo from Germany. They venture onto the death strip with VR, for example.

The episode "Virtual History: The Berlin Wall" can be found directly at YouTube. You can also experience the Berlin Wall and the stories associated with it in 360-degree virtual reality ("The Beginning of the Wall", "Escaping the Wall" and "The Fall of the Wall"). The videos are also embedded here in the message.
