With "Apollo's Moon Shot AR" you can now relive the 1969 moon landing in your own garden, thanks to Augmented reality. The free app is available for mobile devices with iOS and Android.
"The Apollo's Moon Shot AR app is the perfect companion to Smithsonian Channel's six-part series, offering an extraordinary close-up look at some of the seminal events that defined the dawn of the space age," the description says. So far, however, the app is only available in English.
The free app offers seven augmented reality experiences. For example, you have to bring the Apollo mission onto a lunar course, enter orbit, pay attention to fuel consumption and finally prepare for landing. You can also take a look at Neil Armstrong's spacesuit or explore the command module (from the inside and outside).
