Madame Tussauds goes AR: Partnership with ARtGlass brings AR wax figure exhibition

Madame Tussaud's waxworks can be found at various locations around the world. Famous personalities are realistically recreated in wax. In collaboration with ArtGlass, these dolls are now brought to life.

Within the popular Madame Tussauds wax museum, famous personalities and celebrities of contemporary history from around the world are recreated and presented in a lifelike way. A new partnership with ARtGlass adds a technological component to the American venue in Washington, D.C., bringing the figures to life in a new AR experience through holograms.

Thanks to ARtGlass, museum visits with audio guides will be a thing of the past. The company specialises in AR guides to bring historical and cultural assets to life in institutions and places steeped in history. Statues, pictures and other tangible and intangible objects are displayed using holograms and enhanced with interesting facts and information through immersive storytelling. Additional interaction options are also provided to enhance the educational experience.

The edutainment tours have already been booked over a million times by visitors to various locations. These include well-known locations such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The company secured investments totalling USD 1.3 million in a financing round in November 2018.

AR wax figure exhibition in Washington, D.C.

A new partnership with the Madame Tussauds wax museum is now bringing AR technology to an American museum this summer to bring exhibited likenesses of historical figures such as Martin Luther King Jr. or pop culture icons such as George Clooney to life digitally in 3D, 360 degrees and surround sound.
