As has been known for some time, Niantic and WB Games will be launching the Augmented reality-Game "Harry Potter: Wizards Unite" for iOS and Android. New gameplay details have now been revealed.
In "Harry Potter: Wizards Unite", you begin your journey as a new recruit to the Intervention Force for the Protection of the Statute of Secrecy. The aim is to avert a great danger facing the world of wizardry. "Witches and wizards around the world must come together and cast spells to return artefacts, creatures, people and even memories that have been trapped by magic to their rightful place in order to hide wizardry from the eyes of muggles," reads the official description.
As you travel through the world, you will discover inns that replenish your magic power, magical ingredients for brewing special potions, portkeys that open AR portals to famous locations from the world of magic, and much more. Combat skills are tested when you visit real-world locations called strongholds. These are key areas where sorcery challenges take place. In real-time multiplayer battles, you team up with other players to overcome major threats and unlock magical rewards.
