Angry Birds VR next year

"Angry Birds" was one of the most popular mobile games ever, especially at the beginning of the smartphone era. However, the brand still has a lot of traction, which is why virtual reality will soon be considered.

Following the AR game "Angry Birds: First Person Slingshot", "Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs" will be released next year, in early 2019 to be precise. According to Rovio Entertainment, all VR platforms will be supported, which means that Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, PlayStation VR, Oculus Go and Gear VR can be expected. Concrete gameplay information is not yet available. However, the original creators of the angry birds are not responsible for development. This is being done by Resolution Games.

"The launch of Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs is an exciting step for Rovio as we move into the future of gaming. We are delighted that millions of Angry Birds fans will soon be able to literally step into the Angry Birds universe with the powerful sense of presence you get in virtual reality. Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs continues to showcase the many unforeseen ways fans can interact with their favourite characters and gameplay," said Kati LevorantaCEO of Rovio Entertainment.
