Deutsche Bahn uses VR to advertise for new train drivers at trainee castings

Last week, Deutsche Bahn held a casting for future trainees at Frankfurt's main railway station to attract young talent.

One of the aims of the Deutsche Bahn trainee casting is to recruit new train drivers for the S-Bahn Rhein-Main. The casting took place for the first time last week in two S-Bahn trains.

Using virtual reality glasses, the railway gave interested parties an insight into various possible professions, including train dispatchers, track layers and cooks. Job interviews were possible directly on the train. The campaign is touring many cities across Germany. The company wants to recruit more than 20,000 new employees by the end of the year, including around 1,600 train drivers.

This is not the first time that Deutsche Bahn has worked with VR. The innovative company has already used virtual reality training to prepare 100 train drivers for their work on the ICE 4, as we reports have.
