Heidelberg University Hospital also uses virtual reality to recruit employees

Heidelberg University Hospital has launched a new employee recruitment campaign: With a so-called digital roadshow in an "Infocube", the university hospital is providing information about work and career opportunities in the nursing service and other professional groups at the hospital.

A 3D animation and "mixed reality glasses" now provide virtual insights into the new surgery building and the working environment at Heidelberg University Hospital. A video containing video and 3D elements was specially produced for the display. A multilingual information brochure provides accompanying information and graphics about the new surgical building and the Heidelberg University Hospital as an employer.

The digital information stand will be used for the first time at the "Night of Research" on 28 September in the foyer of the Medical Clinic. The roadshow will then start in the city and the region. The University Hospital's new digital business card will also be travelling abroad.

"It is very difficult to recruit nursing staff nationally. That's why we are currently planning to show the cube in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina as well," explains Nursing Director Edgar Reisch.

According to the clinic, numerous new employees are being sought in surgery, as well as in all other clinics and departments on the medical campus. As a result, there are always vacancies for nurses and other professional groups.
