ZURICH GAME SHOW - starting tomorrow!

For the second year running, the ZURICH GAME SHOW will occupy the entire exhibition space at Messe Zürich. From 14 to 16 September, visitors can expect everything to do with games and modern gaming worlds in 7 halls. Over 30,000 visitors are expected at Switzerland's biggest event for gaming, eSports, digital lifestyle and cosplay.

As at the first edition, computer and console games will take centre stage at this year's ZURICH GAME SHOW. The latest games and hardware can be tested at the stands of the international exhibitors. Various publishers will be presenting new and upcoming games exclusively in Switzerland. Hundreds of PCs and consoles will be available to play.

One hall is dedicated to eSports: Switzerland's best eSports teams compete in show matches on a huge eSports stage and various eSports teams present themselves to the public at their own stands. On the stages as well as at the exhibitors' stands, eSports tournaments will be offered for all visitors to take part in.

Nintendo fans will also get their money's worth. In addition to a large stand with many new products, the Swiss Championship in Splatoon2 will also take place. The latest titles for adult gamers will be shown in a separate "Over 18s area".

Game design and virtual reality

Virtual and augmented reality and Swiss games make a strong appearance at the ZURICH GAME SHOW. Over 30 studios will be showcasing their latest work. Various providers of the latest virtual reality experiences will be offering their latest products for testing. For example, Sony Playstation VR. You can experience the preview of Astro Bot at the VRROOM/ Stand 607, Hall 7. The game Firewall Zero Hour will also be available for you to play. The stands of SAE (stand 602, hall 6) and ZHdK (stand 613, hall 6) will also provide information about training opportunities. Already known from our Reportsbut a visit to Sycoforge (Stand 639, Hall 6) is also worthwhile. And of course the one and only VR Cinema ((Stand 620, Hall 6).

Stars and superheroes

In the "Geek & Superhero Hall", national and international cosplayers present themselves, who also take part in daily cosplay contests on a large stage. Lara Croft, Spiderman, Stormtrooper, Ghostbusters and many other well-known characters will not only be there as cosplayers, but also as superheroes in games. Stars from the gaming world, from actors known as "Game Voices" to Youtubers and creators of major game titles, will be travelling to the ZURICH GAME SHOW and will be available to fans for autographs and photos.

Next Level Playground

In the "Next Level Playground" hall, modern game worlds from "Urban Golf" to darts, billiards and laser games will be presented. Finally, Hall 7, entitled "Modelling & Tabletop Hall - Create your own world!", brings together the latest tabletop games and everything to do with model making. Fans of tabletop games can build entire landscapes for their favourite games and design their own game figures. It's only logical that everything to do with model making fits in: from self-built games, new racing car and aeroplane models to drones. A large Magic card tournament and exhibitors with other trading cards offer an insight into the world of modern card games.
