New VR experience Terminator Genisys: Time Machines

The start-up Spaces wants to open the first four VR arcades in California, Japan and China. The "Terminator" licence is supposed to help, because with the VR experience "Terminator Genisys: Time Machines" you can kick Skynet's butt.

Visitors take on the role of reprogrammed Terminators fighting alongside the human resistance. In addition to the action, cooperative puzzle fun is also promised. The VR attraction starts with a 3D scan of the face, which is then used for the avatar. In this way, you can see who is in the Terminator.

"Terminator Genisys: Time Machines" relies on backpack PCs and full-body detection. Weapons and other props are spatially captured and even offer haptic feedback. In addition, there are various environmental effects, including wind. In short, you can finally feel like an (almost) invincible Terminator.

Incidentally, Spaces was only founded in 2016, by former Dreamworks employees. The company wants to offer a range of VR experiences based on existing and own brands. There is also a cooperation with the Chinese amusement park operator Songchen. More info is available at official site from Spaces.
