Anyone who has always enjoyed playing with model railways can now do so in virtual reality too, as the Steam "TrainerVR" is available for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
The description of the title sounds very promising: "TrainerVR is a unique and physics-based VR train building game. In TrainerVR, you can build anything from simple tracks to an elaborate rail network, just like a wooden toy. But it goes beyond that. If they have enjoyed building something with their bare hands, they will experience the same in our limitless VR world."
Fans of classic modelling are therefore transported to the virtual children's room, which can also be seen in the trailer. Tracks are customised and decorated with various environmental details. And as soon as the mini-world has been completed, you can run as many trains as you like on the tracks. In any case, the physics engine should deliver realistic results.
