Virtual showroom for designer furniture

A showroom at a high level: With the move of Ambiente Einrichtungskonzepte AG (Rapperswil) into the virtual attic flat of marty architektur (Schwyz), the agency Responsive AG sets another benchmark in visualisation technology with virtual reality.

One of the current areas of application of virtual reality (VR) with the greatest immediate added value is the preview of objects that do not yet exist. A particularly impressive example of this was presented two years ago when the agency was one of the very first developers to amaze people with its marty architektur benchmark project.

Visualise and animate with the technology of the gaming industry

Even before the ground-breaking ceremony for the real building project, visitors were able to move through the virtual flat independently, discover the many loving details or let their gaze wander through the window into the Schwyz valley basin. Many a visitor gets weak knees when looking down from the terrace to the ground, but the fascination of the 360° world overcomes all fears.

With the help of technology from the VR gaming industry, it is also possible to interact with various objects in the flat, allowing visitors to immerse themselves even more in the virtual world and experience an even greater wow effect.

The ideal virtual showroom to demonstrate the service

Attention to the topic of virtual reality continues to grow in almost all industries. As experts in the high-end virtual reality sector, Responsive AG has been invited to various conferences and events since its first pioneering project to demonstrate its solution and report on the latest developments.

Those responsible at Ambiente Einrichtungskonzepte AG, who were already working with marty architektur, observed the developments and were quickly convinced: the detailed environment of the high-end VR application is the perfect showroom to impressively demonstrate their expertise in consulting and conceptualising interior design and furnishings. By allowing their customers to interactively walk through the fully furnished show flat in VR and experience the furnishings up close, they offer their customers real added value: namely a preview of their service and a valuable building of trust.

The furnishings at Ambiente were modelled in 3D by Responsive or existing ones were optimised for VR. Incidentally, this reveals another highlight of VR: objects and rooms are scalable and can be multiplied as often as required. This is very interesting for companies that want to present many objects or machines in a real environment but only have a limited showroom or trade fair stand available.

VR on site or from home

Ambiente and marty architektur are already successfully utilising the virtual world on site. On Friday 10 November, for example, Ambiente hosted a large vernissage in Rapperswil. All the guests were enthusiastic about the opportunity to escape from the wet and grey autumn weather into the virtual world and enjoy the sunshine on the terrace. The real application with its detailed interior design was praised several times.

The demo version, which can be downloaded from the Responsive AG website, can also be used from home, provided you have a powerful computer and a VR headset.
