Desert Bus VR free on Steam

The remake "Desert Bus VR" (the original was released in 1998) is now available. free of charge on Steam and can be played with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Or you can skip the VR headset altogether. "Desert Bus VR" focuses on cultivated boredom.

Yes, it's basically about boredom, because you get on at a bus stop in Tuscon, Arizona and drive eight hours through the empty desert to Las Vegas. Being a bus driver requires a lot of stamina, but at least you can take three friends with you for entertainment. You can also switch on the radio, nudge the scented tree or honk at the deserted road.

The odometer and the position of the sun provide further variety. But why should you do this at all? The project "Desert Bus for Hope" is one of the oldest fundraising marathons in the gaming sector. This year, players have already clocked up numerous hours on the bus and donations totalling over 650,000 US dollars have been raised for Child's Play Charity collected.
