Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Fast Travel Games have announced at the Paris Games Week 2017 officially announced the new action adventure "Apex Construct" for PlayStation VR.
According to Erik Odeldahl, Creative Director at Fast Travel Games. "Apex Construct" developed from the ground up for virtual reality. It also aims to raise the bar for immersive VR gaming experiences. "Apex Construct takes place in a destroyed and post-apocalyptic world, where you have to deal with merciless robots and two artificial intelligences in an ongoing conflict.
"As the last human, you get the chance to explore this world and use both your wits and your combat skills to survive as you search for the answer to why almost all organic life has been wiped out," says Erik Odeldahl. The game is played from a first-person perspective using the Move controllers. You can pick things up and move freely in the world using teleportation.
The upgradeable bow helps to win the fights. The shield, on the other hand, deflects the attacks of the opponents. Puzzles also need to be solved. Erik Odeldahl adds: "The action-packed gameplay is something we are particularly proud of. This includes the bow mechanics, which are very reminiscent of archery in reality. You need skill and precision. Sometimes you're facing multiple enemies and have to move, attack and defend at the same time."
