There is a self-proclaimed virtual reality pastor called "DJ Soto" who regularly holds church services in virtual reality. Users of the social VR platform "AltspaceVR" can meet for the church services.
There is even a separate church building, but the services with their large screen are more reminiscent of a PowerPoint presentation than a traditional visit to the church. Nevertheless, the virtual service is based on the traditional model. Visitors can also sing, pray, meditate or simply relax. The videos provide quite good impressions of the Altspace church.
The sermon is supported by images and videos to accompany visitors on their spiritual journey. After the service, you are welcome to exchange ideas with other users. All faiths are welcome, as are atheists and agnostics. The organisers of the "VR Church" are of the opinion that the church is too hesitant to utilise new technologies. The VR church is intended to compensate for this a little.
