4A Games is known for 'Metro 2033' and 'Metro: Last Light'. However, the studio currently has the VR shooter "ARKTIKA.1" which will be released for Oculus Rift and Touch on 10 October 2017.
The latest version of the 4A Engine is used for "ARKTIKA.1", which is why impressive VR graphics are promised. You can see this for yourself in the latest gameplay video. According to the official information, "ARKTIKA.1" is a genuine AAA game (a large-scale production) that centres on a post-apocalyptic vision of the future. There is also talk of a "highly immersive" first-person shooter.
The Story takes place almost 100 years in the future: "After a silent apocalypse, a new ice age reigns on Earth. Only along the equator are there still habitable areas, but here and there small enclaves of humanity are spread across the entire planet. These outposts of civilisation are located in resource-rich and highly desirable areas in the north and south. Protect the colony in the wasteland of former Russia from looters, raiders and fearsome creatures. Be the saviour. Give humanity a second chance."
