"Mario Kart" is not the only famous video game brand that has made it into a Japanese arcade as a VR version. Now fans of virtual reality get to experience "Monster Hunter" up close.
Capcom has teamed up with Japanese developer Fivefor teamed upto realise the VR experience "Monster Hunter X Circle of Saviors". You can find "Monster Hunter X Circle of Saviors" in the arcade of the Aeon Mall in Tsudanuma, Chiba Prefecture. The whole thing is based on HTC Vive and you slice your way through the monsters thanks to motion control.
Fivefor is for "Circle of Saviors" which follows exactly this gameplay principle. It serves as the gameplay base for the new project, while elements from Monster Hunter have been added, including weapons, creatures, crafting options and more.
There is no moving image material for "Monster Hunter X Circle of Saviors" yet, but "Circle of Saviors" can be viewed in the video. It is not known whether Capcom will also release the title at home at some point.
