VR training for KFC employees

It sounds like a viral marketing campaign, but the fast food chain KFC has according to own information began offering VR training for its employees as part of a genuine e-learning campaign.

According to the company, the learning process for preparation is shortened and food no longer has to be wasted, which again sounds like a skilfully staged advertising campaign. In any case, the KFC VR app is creatively designed, as can be seen in the video. Even a normal user could have fun with it.

The KFC employee is locked in a virtual room and can only escape if he successfully completes a multi-stage cooking process. The user is instructed by the digital Colonel Sanders. The chicken thighs are inspected, washed, cooked, dried and finally deep-fried. The virtual training is subtly reminiscent of the "Job Simulator", as KFC also uses a bit of satire.
