On 21 August 2017, for the first time in 38 years, the USA will hold a total solar eclipse will take place. CNN will show the event live in VR or in a 360-degree live stream. Only a partial solar eclipse will be visible in north-west Europe, which will not reach Switzerland.
The total solar eclipse will be visible for the longest time in the city of Columbia in the state of South Carolina (2:30 minutes).
