VR Boxing with Manny Pacquiao

The famous boxer Manny Pacquiao and the Korean development studio Appnori have teamed up to publish a VR boxing game. In the game, you are personally trained by the boxing legend. As soon as enough sparring sessions have been completed, you can compete against other players online. The VR boxers will even be invited to real boxing tournaments in which Manny Pacquiao will act as referee.

That sounds interesting, but of course it remains to be seen how Appnori will realise the VR boxing game, as the plans sound pretty ambitious. In any case, the developers want to add a new facet to e-sports. According to Manny Pacquiao, he is a big VR fan and is fulfilling a dream with the boxing game. The boxer tested Samsung Gear VR back in 2015 and was very impressed (see video). In case you didn't know: Manny Pacquiao is the first and currently the only professional boxer in the history of global boxing to become world boxing champion in seven weight classes.
