Half-Life 2 VR as a mod for HTC Vive & Oculus Rift

Valve simply doesn't want to develop "Half-Life 3", but there's still good news: "Half-Life 2 VR" is available on Steam Greenlight landed. The modder team behind "Worm Slayer" would like to offer the VR conversion free of charge to all buyers of "Half-Life 2" and Episodes 1 and 2. The modification supports Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, including motion control with the Vive controllers and Oculus Touch.

Updated graphics effects, textures, models and levels, a special 3D user interface for VR, realistic weapon interactions and several options for movement are promised. The weapons in particular have been given a makeover, as they can be viewed from all sides in virtual reality. The realistic reloading animations are also interesting. To reload a Magnum, for example, you have to hold it up so that the cartridge cases fall out. After the process, you have to close the chamber with a swing. A trailer provides first impressions of "Half-Life 2 VR".
