At the weekend, the new "Star Wars Battlefront 2" was announced at the Star Wars Celebration 2017. This time, the shooter will even offer a real story campaign. The story is set in the 30 years between the destruction of the second Death Star and the rise of the First Order. At the centre of the campaign is Iden Versio. She is the leader of the Inferno Squad, an Imperial special forces unit. Publisher Electronic Arts has not confirmed it yet, but Alex Mole, tech director at Criterion Games, has revealed on Twitter hinted that there could be another VR experience for "Star Wars Battlefront 2".
It says: "Our last release was the VR mission for Star Wars Battlefront. Now we're following it up with something fantastic for Star Wars Battlefront 2." Currently, it is only certain that Criterion Games is taking care of the implementation of the vehicles in "Star Wars Battlefront 2". Could a VR experience actually be added? With "Star Wars Battlefront - Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission", a short VR add-on for the first part is already available, but it is over again after a few minutes. One can only hope that the new VR experience will be a little longer, if it comes to that at all. "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will be released on 17 November 2017 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The great announcement trailer is available for viewing here.
