The innovative sanitary company Geberit puts VR glasses on its workshop participants and sends them into six different product worlds.
Responsible for the VR content is the Zurich VR Studio Bandara. A bathroom serves as the starting point of the VR experience: the user can look around 360 degrees and immerse himself in six different product worlds via various hotspots. The matching sound experience is included. Geberit products and additional content in the form of videos and 360-degree panoramas were integrated into the virtual rooms.
The web-based VR application is currently being used as part of the Geberit On Tour at the planner workshops as well as at workshops for architects to amaze people and get people talking. Each visitor receives a Geberit-branded VR cardboard with a link printed on it. This is opened on the smartphone, then one inserts the smartphone into the VR glasses and thus dives into the Geberit world. It is not necessary to install an app. This makes VR super mobile.
"With the Virtual Reality Showroom, we can offer our customers an innovative and lasting experience that provides plenty to talk about at the workshops," says Beat Aebi, Head of Marketing and Product Management Switzerland at Geberit.
So VR has made it to the loo - or just another example of how and where VR can be used.
