It was quite a while ago at E3 2016 in Los Angeles that Bethesda unveiled a VR version of the popular end-time role-playing game "Fallout 4" has announced. Unfortunately, we haven't seen or heard anything more about the project since last summer. Now Bethesda's Pete Hines has spoken out to fuel the anticipation. He first announced that "Fallout 4 VR" will be released as part of the E3 2017 will occur.
He then added how excited game director Todd Howard is about "Fallout 4 VR", as Pete Hines himself doesn't play in VR as it quickly makes him nauseous: "He said that Fallout 4 VR is the most incredible thing you've ever seen in your life. You can't even imagine what it's like because you're playing it in VR and it looks so realistic, you can look around everywhere. It's just going to blow your mind. It's the craziest thing you've ever seen."
These are very euphoric words, which is why we can look forward to the first gameplay footage. So far, "Fallout 4 VR" has only been announced for PC and HTC Vive. It is not known whether other systems will also be covered. The release is scheduled for 2017. Pete Hines also commented on virtual reality in general. According to him, VR will continue to grow. It will be accepted and become a habit, but it will probably never happen that people will only play in VR.
