Experience VR underwater adventures in the museum

Museum visitors can look forward to an underwater adventure in VR, as the deep-sea experience "theBlu" will be on display from 6 March 2017 to 28 April 2017 as part of a special exhibition at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. In collaboration with the developers from Wevr, you can experience manta rays, anglerfish and blue whales up close. And you won't get wet. The virtual dive lasts around six minutes and offers three different underwater environments.

Lori Bettison-Verga, Director and President of the Natural History Museum, is very enthusiastic about the project. taken with"Engaging and inspiring our visitors is part of our daily business, and theBlu is beautiful, powerful storytelling. I wouldn't be surprised if the next generation of marine biologists, and VR developers, are inspired by this exhibition." The developers are already working with scientists and museums on "theBlu" to create the most lifelike representation possible. The cooperation was therefore a natural fit. "theBlu" is available for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift (with Touch).
