Samsung has announced a new version of Gear VR. This time, the VR headset is offered in a bundle with a controller. This reminds us a little of the Vive controller. In addition to a touchpad and buttons on the front, it also has a trigger on the back. Batteries are used, because a rechargeable battery is not installed. Gear VR is compatible with the following Samsung smartphones: Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Note5, S6 Edge+, S6 and S6 Edge. The new controller, which incidentally supports micro-USB and USB-C, is in any case intended to ensure that you are immersed even more deeply in virtual reality. Over 70 new titles are in the pipeline for the controller and existing touchpad apps will be compatible from the start, they say. Samsung has not named a price or a release date.
