Hardly any other title is as eagerly awaited as Resident Evil 7, the first really big game brand to make the leap into virtual reality. All gamers are particularly excited about the effect and whether a "big" game in virtual reality will be just as much fun. The game can also be played from a first-person perspective for the first time in the series, which is of course very effective for VR. The short demo "The Kitchen" has been available to download from the PlayStation Store for some time. However, it was more of a scene from the game than a real demo. Since yesterday, there is now a revised and much more extensive demo that guarantees an hour of scary fun with the PlayStation VR. Incidentally, Resident Evil 7 in VR is only available on the PlayStation 4; HTC Vive and Oculus are not yet supported. However, PC users can play in 4K. HDR support is available on the XBox One S. But if you want to have everything together, you have to own a PS4 Pro with PlayStation VR.
Resident Evil 7 will be released on 24 January 2017
