Audi is making increasing use of high-tech simulation tools, such as the Audi Virtual Training Car. This is an Audi A4 equipped with a virtual reality headset for the driver. While the driver is driving the real car, he sees various driving situations on the headset to which he must react accordingly.
In this way, sales staff can get to know the car's assistance systems under real conditions, especially the intervention of the emergency brake assistant. The Audi Virtual Training Car is used at the Audi Training Center at Munich Airport. Over 5,000 sales staff have already undergone the VR training.
